Is Now a Good Time To Sell?

With COVID-19 affecting the housing market dramatically over the last 2 years, nobody seems to know what will happen next.

Rising interest rates, massive inflation, Oh my!

The prime reason the Fed raised rates was to slow inflation.

And the main driver of inflation? You guessed it, housing prices.

Talking heads and economists have been hinting towards a housing recession.

But who really knows when that will happen?

With inventory still close to all-time lows, I wouldn’t worry if now is a good time to sell.

You’ve got the upper-hand on the buyers because of lack of supply.

You see, there aren’t very many homes for sale.

So, when listing your home, you will probably find the right buyer at the right prices…

At least, that is for now.

The Fed doesn’t seem to be backing down from it’s interest rates hikes, which means mortgage demand will continue to plummet.

The Fed funds rate is now a whopping 5.0%!

*cue frightening music*

That’s up from 0.25% a little over a year ago.

You’re safe if you want to try and time the market and wait to sell.

But my best bet is that you’d be wrong, and it will soon be like catching a falling knife.
