Cheap Home Staging is Very Expensive

It has always been said, “You get what you pay for”. This can usually be said for most products and services, and is certainly what you want to avoid most when making major purchases. Ever owned a vehicle that can’t seem to be reliable for more than a 6 month stretch? In most cases, it ends up costing more in the long run than if you had spent a little bit more on that reliable car in the first place.

The same goes when you are preparing your home for sale. Too many times I’ve seen real estate flippers skimp on painting or go with “cheaper guys” for renovations. The result? A home that CLEARLY needs additional work for the buyers when they move in. This not only showcases the home as less desirable, but ends up costing the seller more money in terms of time on market and price reductions.

When selecting a home stager, focusing solely on price typically results in the same outcome. While you may be tempted to go with the cheapest vendor, or skimp on staging entirely, just remember that cheap home staging is very expensive.
