Turn it Off
For many, the winter months in real estate are a time to relax, go on vacation, and reset for the following year. With “spring market” starting January 1st, any of us need a break from grinding all year, which is well deserved.
While taking time off is certainly one way to recharge, the best way to get the full benefits is to be present. I don’t mean to get all ‘woo-woo’ on you, but we all carry around these small computers (smart phones) in our pockets that unleash all the information in the universe at any given time. This can be a major problem for productivity and a sense of peace in general. It’s no wonder why everyone has a mental health problem these days. Technology is ruining our states of minds, especially social media.
Personally, I like to turn my phone off, sit in my lounge chair, and either read a book or just chill and stare out the window (like an old man). One hour of this makes a huge difference in my state of mind and energy levels. So next time you’re tired, stressed, or anxious, and in need of some desperate peace of mind, turn off the damn phone.
