Hey, Relax!

With the constant grind of real estate and sales, it’s always a good idea to take a moment (or day) to relax so that you avoid burnout. Personally, I would like call myself a cigar aficionado. Whether it’s Biggs Mansion, or The Clayton, you can find me chilling in a lounge chair puffing on a fat stogie. I have always found it to be a very relaxing way to turn my phone off, grab a journal, and just appreciate life and slow down. Not only that, I find it is a mentally stimulating activity that allows me to plan out things that are going on in work or my personal life and how I am going to move forward confronting problems.

While it may not be the healthiest way to decompress, I have other methods to clear my mind. First thing in the morning, I try to meditate for 10-20 minutes which sets the day in a great way. Many health nuts tout the benefits of meditation and claim that it can actually increase your creative thinking (GABA) while lowering stress (cortisol) in your brain.

After working in the corporate world, I have taken note of the hard charging type-A types and made a conscious effort to incorporate things into my life that help me deal with stress. I don’t mean to sound like too much of a hippie, but you can’t take the money with you when you’re buried, right?

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday. Relax why dontcha?!
